Why Hydrofera Blue®?

From highly exudating wounds to delicate healing sites, Hydrofera Blue® antibacterial foam dressings are effective against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and yeast, killing the bacteria within the dressing, while helping to maintain a moist wound healing environment3.

Hydrofera Blue® offers two distinct foam varieties – polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyurethane (PU) – which are infused with two organic pigments: methylene blue and gentian violet. These absorptive dressings are designed to support infection control, manage bioburden3, and promote the healing process.

How It Works

Wick and Absorb

Hydrofera Blue PVA foam wicks exudate2 and draws bacteria and yeast away2 from the wound bed, while the Hydrofera Blue PU foam absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment to support healing.3
